BLAST RESISTANCE DOORS / BLAST RESISTANCE PARTITIONS / BLAST RELEASE PANELS
Avoiding property and life loss in Blast condition is required in case of blast is important. The blast can be results of ambient condition in power, petrochemical industry, transformer rooms, control rooms, chemical plants, pharmaceutical units, etc. depending on process and blast condition the blast can be either inside or outside the occupied premises. Example: Blast can occur outside and need to safeguard control room or blast can occur inside reactor or storage room and outside area needs to be safeguarded.
Horizon is associated with Promat International for providing solution for these special requirements as "OEM". Each door set can be purpose built to the client,s exact specifications, enabling virtually any shape, size to meet the project requirement.
BLAST RESISTANT DOORS:
- Blast Pressure – Blast pressure with standing capacity of the door set is calculated from blast pressure tables depending on type and size of door set.
- Frame – Structural steel frame, Models – "Duracheck" and "Duraflush" – single blast resistant doors sets "H60"- Single or double blast resistant doors sets.
- Thickness of shutter – 28mm – Duracheck & Duraflush doors/ 75mm – H60 – Doors
- Ironmongery – AS per architectural requirements.
- Shutter – Durasteel board 95mm with or without infill.
- Finish – Standard shop applied zinc base primer, ready for site painting.
- Size – As per pressure table and site requirements.
- Installation – Can be done on concrete or structural wall opening.
- Fire Resistance – 240min.
- The client should be responsible for his/her own structures adequacy to receive and safely transmit the forces produced by doors during an explosion.
BLAST RESISTANT PARTITIONS:
Similarly to blast resistant doors, blast resistant partitions design shall be selected depending on:
- Blast Duration – Peak time and duration of blast.
- Height of partition.
- Vertical member spacing.
- Blast load or pressure.
- Blast on one side of portion on both sides of partition.
- Frame – Structure Steel.
- Partition Wall – Durasteel/Promatect
- Board - 9.5mm thick
- Finish – Standard shop applied zinc base primer, ready for site painting.
BLAST RELEASE PANELS:
Instead of resisting the blast pressure the air pressure created by blast inside the room is released by using Top pivoted hanging blast release panels. The blast release panels release the blast pressure in outside area and go back to original position. This minimizes the damages in closed area due to blast.
